Brazilian playmaker Paulo ‘Ganso’ Henriqe has declared he hopes to join AC Milan after the Club World Cup.

The 21-year-old starred as Santos won the Libertadores Cup, which means they will play at the Club World Cup in December. And Ganso hopes to play in the tournament before sealing a big money move to Europe.

In an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport, Ganso, who has also been linked with Inter Milan, Chelsea and Real Madrid said: “My dream is to beat (Lionel) Messi’s Barcelona in the Fifa Club World Cup and then join Milan in January.”

Milan have been long time admirers of Ganso and a £20million plus fee could be agreed between the teams. Ganso could join up with former Santos teammate Robinho at the San Siro if the deal does go through.

The future of teammate Neymar is also under scrutiny with Real Madrid and Chelsea set to do battle for his signature in the summer.

Both Ganso and Neymar will be in action at the Copa America next week after breaking into the Brazil national side.
